MVCAP Utility Assistance Plus (UAP) Program

for Homeowners

The Utility Assistance Plus Program provides assistance to homeowners in Darke, Greene, Montgomery, and Preble Counties who cannot afford to pay housing costs as a result of economic hardship caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program is administered through Miami Valley Community Action Partnership and is expected to continue accepting applications through November 30, 2023, or sooner if available funding is depleted.

The Utility Assistance Plus Program provides eligible homeowners with financial assistance to pay delinquent utility bills, property taxes, and other housing costs not included in the mortgage payment, including:

  • Natural Gas
  • Electric
  • Bulk Fuel
  • Water
  • Sewer
  • Trash
  • Property Taxes
  • Homeowners Association (HOA) or Condominium Owners Association (COA) Fees
  • Lot Rent
  • School District Tax

A household may receive up to combined $10,000.00 in utility and/or housing cost assistance.

NOTE: The Utility Assistance Plus Program cannot pay your mortgage. For assistance with mortgage payments, please apply at savethedreamohio.org.
