Staff Attends Reentry Fair

MVCAP Greene County staff participated in a Reentry Fair last month at London Correctional Facility.

Director Brent Robinson and Case Manager Nick Trimbach were among the agencies providing information to guide inmates with limited time left at the facility toward their options upon release.

MVCAP’s Harding Place Transitional Housing Program is unique to Greene County and provides an option for residents who may not have a halfway house or sober living program to go to.

“Harding Place provides another option while they begin the process of reentering society,” Robinson said. “We were there to provide a broader understanding of all programs that MVCAP offers and how all community action partnerships are different in different areas of the country.”

Robinson added that he was inspired by the peer support group that hosted the event and had several meaningful and deep conversations.

“Sometimes it really helps just to have someone who has gone through the same experiences and become a positive member of society,” Robinson said.
