Partnership Will Create 24/7 Hotline Service

MVCAP’s Domestic Violence Services program now has a 24-hour crisis line thanks to a partnership with Project Woman.

The Springfield-based agency, which operates its own 24-hour service, will answer MVCAP’s Preble County Domestic Violence Hotline when MVCAP staff is not available, filling a critical gap in the service.

“Project Woman is also a member of the Ohio Domestic Violence Network,” said MVCAP’s DVS Director Courtney Griffith. “Their staff are trauma-informed and follow best practices for serving survivors and their children.”

MVCAP’s DVS program provides emergency shelter as well as case management services. Project Woman also operates an emergency shelter in addition to advocacy, support groups and more.

“Project Woman is excited about the partnership with MVCAP,” said Executive Director Emily Kulow. “Our hope is to ensure survivors get the access they need to services throughout our region.”
