PRC Assistance Amounts Increased
Miami Valley Community Action Partnership (MVCAP) is committed to helping our neighbors stay housed, employed, and on the road to stability.
As part of this journey, MVCAP, in coordination with the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services, is excited to announce significant increases to client benefit limits under the Montgomery County Prevention, Retention, and Contingency (PRC) program.
MVCAP processes PRC applications for Montgomery County resident living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level who have a child in their home.
PRC functions as a safety net for families facing temporary financial hurdles. Recognizing the rising costs of living, the overall assistance cap has been raised from $3,000 to $5,000 per 12-month period.
This expansion includes increased support for critical services such as rent, mortgage, property tax, and utilities. The program continues to offer car repairs, transportation services, and incentives for K-12 students or adults working toward their GED.
Applications are not processed until they are complete with all required supporting documents. Please see our website for specific requirements and gather your information BEFORE starting your application. Click here to begin.
Demand for this service is high. If you have any questions not answered by our website, please reach out at prc@mvcap.com, for the fastest response.
