Monetary Cap: test fees and incentive bonuses
Applicants must be receiving SNAP, TANF or Medicaid at the time they apply for this service.
Up to $144 for GED testing
$50 incentive bonus for each completed GED pretest (up to $200)
$250 incentive bonus for successful completion of GED
Required Documentation
- Picture ID for all household members 18 and over (driver’s license, passport, state-issued ID)
- Birth Certificate and Social Security Card for all household members
- Verification of all household income for 30 days prior to application
- Child support documents if applicable
- Proof that child is in your household. Documentation must include the child’s name and the applicant’s address. Pregnant women should provide a doctor’s note. Only validated items – such as SNAP/Medicaid award letters, school correspondence, lease agreement listing children as occupants or medical/immunization records – will be accepted..
- Certificate or letter from testing site showing applicant passed the module. Certificate must be dated within 30 days of application date.
