Weatherization and Housing Services Scheduler Sherrie Mauro retired last month after 18 years with Miami Valley CAP.

As a scheduler, Mauro’s responsibilities included speaking with weatherization and home repair clients everyday and making arrangements for hundreds of projects every year.

“I was planted to serve with a purpose,” Mauro told her colleagues as her retirement was recognized at the Staff Wellness Fair in June.

“Whether I was working alongside dedicated employees who pour their hearts into our mission every day, or talking with customers who trusted us in their most vulnerable times, I’ve witnessed the power of compassion, resilience, community and God’s faithfulness.”

“Sherrie’s compassion, dedication, and genuine care for our clients have made a lasting impact on our program and the community we serve,” said Weatherization and Housing Services Director Eddie Cooper. “We are grateful for her many years of service and wish her nothing but happiness and fulfillment in retirement.”
