MVCAP Named Non-Profit of the Year

MVCAP has been named a Greater Dayton Nonprofit of the Year for 2026 by Dayton Magazine.

These annual awards are presented by Dayton Magazine to recognize nonprofit organizations, employees, and volunteers for their contributions to the Greater Dayton community. MVCAP was nominated and recognized in the Home Rehabilitation Programs category.

“We’re grateful for the community’s recognition of our impact in creating safer, more comfortable homes throughout the Miami Valley,” said President and CEO Erin Jeffries. “Our weatherization and housing services team works hard to serve as many households as possible.”

Dayton Magazine’s process begins with public nominations in dozens of service categories followed by an online, public vote. The magazine began the awards to recognize outstanding accomplishments by nonprofits, staff, and volunteers who are dedicated to doing good in the community.

Winners were recognized at an event Sept. 17 at The Silos and published in the Fall 2026 issue of Dayton Magazine.
