Homeless Prevention

• For individuals at risk of homelessness
• Funded by the Homelessness Crisis Response Program
• Assistance with security deposit/first month’s rent
• Must be living at or below 30% AMI (click here for eligibility)
• Units must meet Fair Market Rent and pass a HUD inspection

MVCAP does not offer any rental assistance in Greene County.

Prevention, Retention and Contingency

MVCAP has partnered with the Montgomery County Commission to process applications for the Prevention, Retention and Contingency Program. The PRC program includes funds for rental and mortgage assistance as well as legal fees for those battling eviction.

PRC is available in other counties but MVCAP only works on this program in Montgomery County.
