Tenant Based Rental Assistance

This program is funded by the Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) Program through the Darke County Commissioners’ office for residents living at or below 30% of the Area Median Income.

Preference is given to the homeless and veterans (DD-214 or 215 required).

Units must pass a Housing Quality Service inspection and rent reasonableness.

Leases are required.

Applications can be obtained at our Darke County office.

MVCAP does not offer any rental assistance in Greene County.

Prevention, Retention and Contingency

MVCAP has partnered with the Montgomery County Commission to process applications for the Prevention, Retention and Contingency Program. The PRC program includes funds for rental and mortgage assistance as well as legal fees for those battling eviction.

PRC is available in other counties but MVCAP only works on this program in Montgomery County.
