Montgomery County

Helping low income individuals minimize barriers to employment and access to other critical services by providing transportation assistance in the form of bus passes, gas cards, minor car repairs, driver’s license and vehicle registration fees and automobile insurance.

Eligibility Guidelines

  • Montgomery County resident
  • Currently employed, in an education/training program, or willing and able to job search
  • For Car Repairs: Proof of ownership and insurance
  • Provide three written estimates from established Auto Repair shop
  • Income Criteria
  • Household income cannot exceed 125% of Federal Poverty Level

Darke County

Community Transportation

Community Transportation provides medical and general transportation to residents of Darke County. Transportation is available to anywhere in Darke County with a 24 hour advance reservation. Transportation is provided to out of county locations such as Dayton, Troy, Richmond, Columbus, Cincinnati and many more locations with a 48 hour notice. We utilize full mobility equipment accessible vehicles. Trips are for medical, school or any transportation approved by DCJFS.  Private Pay is available.

General Transportation

Community Action Partnership offers transportation for persons age 60 or over to congregate meal sites, medical facilities, social service agencies, banks, grocery stores, pharmacies and post offices. Persons are eligible if they have no other means of transportation through family, friends or self. Transportation must be scheduled 24 hours in advance by contacting Community Transportation. If they are unable to provide the requested transportation, we will work with the client by referring him or her to other appropriate programs or agencies.

The suggested donation for medical transportation is $3.00 per round trip.

Senior Medical Transportation

Medical transportation is provided for persons age 60 or over who have no assistance from family or friends and cannot book transportation through any other program or agency in Darke County. The program seeks to “fill the gap” for persons who otherwise may not be able to receive necessary medical treatment due to lack to transportation to a medical facility. Senior Medical Transportation is provided by Community Transportation on an on-call basis and donations are accepted. Twenty-four hour notice in advance.

The suggested donation for medical transportation is $3.00 per round trip.

Preble County

Preble County Transportation is an informational service for all transportation resources that are available in the area, as well as a provider of transportation for certain contracts in Preble county which include: Samaritan Behavioral Health, Premier Health, Veteran’s Services, and Preble County Mental Health and Recovery Board.


Transportation is made possible in coordination with several agencies including Community Action Partnership, Preble County Council on Aging, Preble County Job & Family Services, Preble County Mental Health and Recovery Board, Preble County MRDD, and Veterans Affairs.


Transportation is offered through several different programs to lower income, mentally or physically disabled, elderly, or veteran individuals. There is also the option of private pay for those that do not qualify for a specific program.
