Free bus transportation is available for Dayton-area residents wishing to attend the “Invest in Ohio’s Future” rally at the Ohio Statehouse on Tuesday, April 5.
The rally begins at noon. Buses will load at 9:30 a.m. from the Community Action Partnership parking lot, 719 S. Main St. in Dayton. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and snacks. The buses will return to Dayton by 5 p.m.
One Ohio Now is organizing the rally statewide in response to the proposed state budget. According to its Web site, One Ohio Now believes “Schools, police, hospitals, libraries, and local services are all endangered. It will take a balanced approach that includes revenues to minimize the impact on Ohioans and ensure our state emerges strong when prosperity returns.
“Action is needed to move Ohio forward and promote the well-being of our communities and their residents. By investing in our families, communities, natural resources, and existing assets, we all share the potential to guide our state to renewed prosperity.”
Contact:(937) 496-2074 to reserve a space on the bus. Follow-up calls will be made the day before the rally to confirm attendance.
