The Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area announces that 250 air conditioners available for eligible families in Montgomery County have been distributed. The agency does not anticipate having more air conditioners available for the Summer Crisis Program which continues through Tuesday, Aug. 31, or until all funds are exhausted.
Electric bill payment assistance of up to $175 for eligible persons age 60 and over is still available. Income eligibility for the Summer Crisis Program is 200 percent of the 2011 Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. For a family of four, this is an income at or below $44,700. A disconnect notice is not required.
Customers may make an appointment to determine household eligibility by calling the automated appointment line at 1-866-504-7379. Community Action Partnership will accept a limited number of walk-in customers at the 719 S. Main St. office each weekday beginning at 7 a.m.
