The 14th Annual Community Action Day event hosted by the Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Greene County is moving to a new location and adding some new events this year.
The community is invited to the “Banding Together to Fight Poverty” event on Friday, May 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Park East Shelter #2, 691 East Dayton Yellow Springs Rd. in Fairborn. The event will include a free lunch, games and entertainment. CAP is partnering with Teleperformance in Fairborn, the Fairborn Community Center and Feed the Children.
“We’re excited to announce that Feed the Children will provide a box of food products and another box of personal grooming items for our guests,” said M. Gale Hutchinson, Greene County Director for the Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area. “Teleperformance will conduct a job fair for positions at their company.”
Local service agencies and community organizations are invited to bring a table and share information about their programs and services. To reserve a space, contact Hutchinson or Judy Darnell at (937) 376-7747.
“We look forward to continuing to educate Greene County about the resources available to the community during these difficult times,” said Hutchinson. “We are grateful to our many partners in this event Together we can make a difference!”
