WHO: Feed The Children, Speedway Children’s Charities and the Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area.
WHAT: A Community Distribution of food and personal care items.
WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., or while supplies last
WHERE: Welcome Stadium, 1601 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. in Dayton. Enter and exit through Gate D. Recipients will be directed to one of two distribution lines around the Feed The Children trailer.
WHY: As part of a nationwide effort, Feed the Children, in partnership with Speedway Children’s Charities, will deliver a truckload of food and essentials to the Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area (CAP). The agency will identify up to 400 families who will receive a 25-pound box of food, a ten-pound box of personal care items and a box of Avon products. The items are designed to help a family of four for a week.
Families must verify their eligibility by bringing a picture ID and proof/documentation of one of the following:

  • TANF/Public Assistance
  • CareSource/Medicaid Card/AmeriGroup
  • Food Stamps
  • WIC
  • Social or Supplemental Security Income
  • Unemployment Assistance
  • Letter notifying of a lay-off
  • Voucher from Community Action Partnership
