WHO: Community Action Partnership’s community partners, agency customers, staff, supporters and friends.
WHAT: The inaugural “Helping People. Changing Lives.” awards recognizing individuals and organizations for outstanding customer and community service.
WHEN: Thursday, May 26, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9 a.m., followed a by brief program from Community Action Partnership and the awards presentation.
WHERE: The Dayton/RTA Cultural Center, 40 South Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
WHY: As part of National Community Action Month, Community Action Partnership will share their successes and struggles in helping low-income people achieve a better quality of life for themselves and their families. The event will also give local residents—many who are unaware of the extent of the poverty in our community—a firsthand look at the challenges low-income families face and how Community Action Partnership programs help them.
The “Helping People. Changing Lives.” awards will be presented to community-based direct services staff and community partners who consistently demonstrate their commitment to helping others achieve greater self-sufficiency.
