The Fifth Third Financial Empowerment Mobile, a 40-foot retrofitted bus with 12 computer stations and a classroom area, will provide financial literacy education to the public when it comes to the Community Action Partnership parking lot at S. Patterson Blvd. and Lincoln St. on Wednesday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Fifth Third eBus travels through a 12-state area promoting financial empowerment, credit counseling, small business growth and community partnerships. The eBus program provides information on financial empowerment resources to unbanked and underserved communities. It promotes financial wholeness to youth, families, seniors, small business owners and credit-impaired individuals.
At the June 22 event, customers can board the eBus for:
- Assistance with requesting a credit report;
- Financial education;
- Fraud awareness and prevention;
- Internet banking and bill payment demonstrations;
- Home ownership seminars;
- Strategies to avoid foreclosure.
Sessions on credit counseling, financial literacy, and job assistance will be available from 9 a.m. to noon. A home ownership and energy efficiency seminar will be offered from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
