WHO: Feed The Children, Teleperformance Group and the Community Action Partnership in Greene County.
WHAT: A Community Distribution of food and personal care items.
WHEN: Friday, May 25, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., or while supplies last. A similar program in Dayton last September resulted in all the food and supplies being handed out in about an hour.
WHERE: Community Park East Shelter #2, 691 East Dayton Yellow Springs Road in Fairborn (exit 20 off I-675).
WHY: Nearly one in five children living in Greene County is considered impoverished. Community Action Partnership has identified families who will receive a 25-pound box of food and a ten-pound box of personal care items. The boxes are designed to help a family of four for a week.
The event is part of Community Action Partnership’s Community Action Day celebration in Greene County. The day includes a free lunch, raffles, music, games and information on programs and services available throughout Greene County.
